it was a merry christmas with babee's family on christmas day
melissa cooks really really well (:

drove up north to genting the next day with the family. (:

these are the idiotic few who made the trip worth remembering (:
they were the funniest bunch of people ever - my cousins!
anyway, day one was spent sleeping in the car and shopping around the shopping center up on the highlands.
second day was spent in the theme park. (:
all the stupid things we did on the viking.
screaming happy birthday, i want my mummy, mummy help!, woohoo, ahhhhs on every single ride.
it was fun though global warming has caused obvious effects. yes it was hot.
last minute shopping around the same boring mall again.
drove up to cameron highlands where the boys climbed up the high tea plantations while the girls (well those wearing slippers) only managed to climp up the first one. hah.
went back to the apartments where colin's family and mine shared.
crampy sleeping conditions. haha.
khor and i had to share the bed with the rolled up sleeping bag in the middle to divide the bed (a common practice among both of us on every holiday) haha.
nick and gideon slept on the floor next to our sofa bed.
played CAMS! (: damn fun.
went to eat at the night market and had second dinner of secret recipes cakes (:
played CAMS followed by POLAR BEAR and MURDERER through the night.
had my cute cousins and neices and nephews to keep me company through the whole trip.
derek taught me about the few lessons i need to know about men. HAHA.
how they treat you when your dating and how it changes after engagement! he's damn funny.

now that 2007 is coming to an end, it needs to be addressed.
the year started with working at citibank under my mumy's friend through mummy recommendation. a great learning experience though i wish not to spend the rest of my life working in a bank where my entire departement has concluded that the air in the bank is bad.
reconciliation unit (: the nicest people in the office (: though i slogged to complete the work in time, even working overtime and carrying heavy boxes around in high heels. working with numbers every other day almost drove me crazy. i remember losing one cent and i had to search through the entire stack of accounts. BUT it was an experience worth remembering. my first job (:
i entered university and made a lot of new friends. thankyou to tartarz, oris and tehgao where i met one of my closest friends in university. the people that i can count on when i need a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear. (: i love you all (: then there was a period when i drifted from my girlfriend cos we took different modules and were in different houses, but we got back again and she's someone who's always been there for me. i joined pageant and met the few people that made my days sunny. pageant brought me and rachel back together again after a long long break from each other. many memories were forged and friendships were made. i love you all as well (: then school started and everything became hectic, i had to do my readings, projects and yet handle my personal life which was well, far from perfect. but everything turned out fine in the end.
then there was queen of queens. where i made a few new friends who were there to cheer each other on and to keep each other strong through the tough and tedious trainings.
and through this, the people i'd like to thank are the following.

if i forgot anyone, smack me the next time you see me. i love you. it doesn't mean your not important.

to ade, my best friend, my girlfriend - thankyou for being there for me through everything, for talking me through everything and being the logical one when i'm irrational. also, for being the greatest friend i ever knew because you are always there to guide me along with my life. you don't know it but you play a great big important role in moulding me to who i am today. for always believing in me even when i have no confidence in myself. thankyou for being at all my events and supporting me in everything that i do. for standing up for me through anything. and though we both pms once in a while, i love you for you, girlfriend and i'll always be here for you through 2008 and the many many years to come till we age and still go shopping together (:

to marc, my special friend, my boyfriend - thankyou for being there for me as well. though sometimes life may seem difficult for us because of all the problems we had and have, but we've come out so much stronger. we've made it through all the tears and pain and i believe that we'll make it one day (: thankyou for being the voice of reason and always trying to make me optimistic about the way life is treating me. thankyou also but being there with me through my study period and for being willing to sit with me while i study and you, read your book. thankyou for your endless support in everything i do and all the encouragement. i love you babee, and nothing is going to change that. we've come too far. i'll always be here for you. (:

to you, you know who you are - thankyou for looking after me throughout the (almost) 2 years we were together. for taking care of me and always being there for me. for standing up for me and protecting me and my emotions. sometimes for not doing things that you know will make me mad. that period of time took a lot out of both of us and i'm sorry if i ever once took you for granted and if i ill treated you in anyway. thankyou.

my mind's a mess and i can't remember what happened in the past week.
but i remember events and not when it happened.

i had beach fiesta meeting.
haha. ade's my boss. believe it or not.
volleyball programmer! (: the meeting was damn funny lahh - all the stingy ways to cut cost and make money! haha.
headed to town after that and walked around supposedly looking for christmas presents but i had terrible cramps so babee and i ended up just strolling around and playing at toys r us.

i thought i almost died :(

helped babee and his family put up the christmas tree and hang cute little stuff on the doors.

went for dinner at miss clarity cafe cos it was melanie's belated birthday dinner!
headed to the hiding place after that.
the doggie (i don't know how to spell her name!) there is damn cute.
she can do all sorts of tricks! - play dead, roll over, paw, shake hand and other hand etc.

went shopping with mummy!
bought louisa, greg and leonard's presents!
mummy bought me a top from zara as well (:
headed home to rest for a while.
met babee for dinner at the bah kut teh shop near zouk before meeting ade, lembu (sarpy), shirlene, bright, xavier and his two friends to go in.
went for sim's pageant at zouk.
met tonnes of familiar faces there. haha.
saw junhan and darrell, celestine, colin, alex.
i spent more time singing at zouk than dancing around. haha. cos i loved the songs but not so much the mix so i just sang to everyone. haha.
(and i wasn't high)
went to ade's house to order macs and watched i do i do.
i fell sleep on babee a lot of times. SORRY DEAR!
we had a sleep over! (: haha.
watched moooovies when we woke up (: and nua-ed around eating kfc and all the chocolate at lele's house!

haha. i had to change my outfit with adeline because it was too big for her.
but i love my first outfit now (: but the second outfit? HAHA. goodness me.
i had to try on so many sets of clothing cos they kept overestimating my size and giving me clothes that made me look damn weird.
so eventually, i had oversized clothes due to the lack of sizes there.

haha. had dinner with my pretty ladies and we talked and talked and talked and ate and ate and ate because we were pretty upset.

i met milene on tuesday for lunch! (:
haha. she's damn funny. we ended up talking about issues about the world.
i guess this is what uni students have become.
we talked about the increase in TEENAGE abortion in singapore, the change of slogan from "say no to pre-marital sex" to "say yes to safe sex", talked about the africans suffering from aids and how we wanted to help but it's really tough because of circumstances, sociology of the world, mass media and how it affects our lives etc. HAHA.
yes. we speak about stuff that are related to our world now.
talked about how disappointed we are with the world :(
SHOPPING. well. not really. bought my 3.5inches black cover toe heels for saturday (i suspect it's gonna hurt like hell). and i got a fear of heights. damnit! haha. wearing the heels make me 1.8+m. kinda sucks!
but ohwell. went to collect her fitness first bag.
went to find her some hair salon to cut her hair.
and some window shopping for us! (:

wednesday. went to singapore press holdings for an interview with the new paper! (:
haha. my interviewer was damn cute!
she was like YEAH! mgs! whoo! (: and YAY! nus arts!
she's from the same schools as me. for like 14 years of our education. she's senior!
the questions were super cute and funny at the same time.
some were challenging. but all in all. it was a FANTABULOUS experience and a very informal one! (:
i was dead tired. i didn't know the reason for it.
so tired that i fell asleep on the babee's room floor! haha.
tried watching i now pronounce you chuck and larry but we gave up.
tried watching alone but it was in jap =S
so we ended up watching lakehouse! I LOVE THAT MOVIE. i say it's a damn sweet show!

yesterday, ade and i went to meet our dearest sherilyn at causeway point.
we had pasta mania for lunch. it's a damn long time since i've had that.
walked around for like 15mins or so before deciding to head to town! (:
i got a new pair of m)phosis flipflops and i got nigel a t-shirt for his birthday.
haha. speaking of bright lego colours as the dress code for queen of queens, sherilyn wants to wear a bright red dress so we decided to search for a pair of shoes that will go well with her dress! but to no avail.
went to coffee bean for tea and milkshake.
ade had the redberry, sherilyn had chocolate milkshake, i had the rosebud (:
2 strawberry shortcakes for all of us to share! (: whoo!
we talked about everything and anything. haha. bonding time. catching up.
after which i had to rush off to meet my pageant people for dinner at kfc (:
haha. finally, my craving for the shrooms was satisfied.
went down to sasa at marina square for our sally hansen workshop!
haha. it was pretty fun i suppose. a million (ok, maybe not that many) steps to take for nail care and painting of nails. heh.
we learnt the proper way of shaping your nails without making it brittle, how to get the round and the square shape.
what kind of shape (for nails) should go with the type of fingers etc.
how to paint the nail the proper way without hurting your cuticle area!
and to do the french manicure two ways - the traditional one and the one with a diagonal line between your fingers.
how to use gliter dust to beautify the nail and give the design more definition.
and how to make 2 tones of glitter dust the right way!
AND I PAINTED A NAIL FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE! (: same for dennet! haha.
it's quite amusing lahhh. seriously. for someone who's never done her own nails.. an eye opener.
we got a goodiebag! (:

today at ade's place was a blast! (:

he went off to work after that.
the 3 of us went to the sauna and enjoyed the heat
ade&i went swimming in the rain!
and we spent like 3 mins in the steambath cos once you use the sauna, the steambath is nothinggg.
went upstairs to watch the amityville horror.

today's silkygirl make up session was hilarious.
we had to learn how to put on full make up - foundation, eyebrows, eyeliner, eyeshadow, eyecurler, mascara, lip pencil, lip balm, lip colour, lip gloss and blusher.
those of you who know me, my reaction was OHMYGOSH!
haha. i have never seen or touched that much make up in my life!
i hate make up. (1) cos it clogs my pores, it's a vicious cycle to cover up the flaws only to make it worse. i believe that au naturale is the way to go (2) i personally look better without make up (:
haha. bimbo.
anyway, the catwalk session by audrey quek was hilarious.
all the turns and the right foot first or the left foot to turn.
so much trouble and hardship is required just to make a show.
i went for ice-cream and waffles at venezia with yiting and shari from ntu (:
they're damn nice people.
we went shopping at bugis street to get a dress that was only 10 bucks! (which apparently is too short for me, so a top for me a dress for them)
and a top. i got two pairs of heels from bugis junction after that.
i'm burning a hole in my pocket! haha. but they were irresistable! though they were 3-3.5inches high which would make me er.. taller?
i was telling yiting that it's not too bad being on the petite size cos they get to save money.
cos they can buy a top as a dress and hence they spend a lot less.

lele's exams are over tomorrow! (: i can't wait to go out with her.
plus tanning on wednesday an absolutely lazy day!
